Funky Tomatoes
8th-Feb-2010 11:16 am

For those skeptics among you, these ARE tomatoes, albeit very wrinkly ones that my partner and I encountered one day while shopping at one of those higher-end grocery stores that had a lot of different types of vegetables I don't think I've ever seen anywhere else. I'm relying on my foodie friends to enlighten me more on their specific name and origin.

Today's painting is done in water-based oils.

Well I guess you would be the expert on tomatoes! You grow so many of them!

I can really imagine the textures on this one.

Thanks Rosemary. There's a certain quality to oil paint that can't quite be achieved with acrylic. Definitely loving the greater ease when blending.
